LEVEL 5  2008 - 2009 SCHEDULE

Christ Jesus, the Way has as its theme the story of the Last Supper (see Luke 22:7-20).   The theme is carried out throughout the year by giving the children a greater understanding of the Eucharist.  The goal of Level 5 is to help the children participate more actively in Sunday Liturgy.  The text manifests the great love of Jesus, who sacrificed his own life for all people.  It helps the children realize they share in that love by receiving the Body and Blood of Christ in Holy Communion.  Level 5 invites children to respond to the story of the Last Supper by making sacrifices in their own lives.  Participation in the Seder – Last Supper experience helps the children actually experience a Seder ritual similar to what Jesus actually experienced and see how we recall the Last Supper when we celebrate Eucharist.
